School brochures are easier once the vocabulary is sorted.
Qualification words — certificate (one course, one standard); ladder (the sequence); diploma (the completed stack); CPE (the regulator, explained).
Bench words — anneal, pickle, bezel, finding, gauge, flux: the maker's dictionary lives on the glossary page.
Gem words — natural vs synthetic (same chemistry, different origin); treated (disclosed enhancement); imitation (a lookalike honestly named); hardness (Mohs) vs toughness (resistance to breaking) — context on the gemmology start page.
Words to distrust — "guaranteed career", "master jeweller in weeks", "certified" without naming the certifier. Vocabulary literacy is consumer protection — bring it to your visit.
