Ask these ten. The shape of the answers tells you more than the content.

  1. "What comes after this course?" — a named ladder, or a shrug?
  2. "Maximum class size — enforced?" — attention is the product.
  3. "Who teaches, and what have they made?" — trade histories, not just teaching histories.
  4. "How is work assessed?" — a standard, described in words.
  5. "What do students take home?" — always a physical piece.
  6. "Which tools are provided vs bought?" — budget honesty.
  7. "Can I see the studio mid-class?" — confidence says yes.
  8. "Where do graduates land?" — named outcomes, not vibes.
  9. "What does the fee include — materials?" — and what it excludes.
  10. "May I speak to an alum?" — the confidence test.

Score the school against the four tests afterwards. Asking these in Singapore? Bring them to a visit — we answer all ten on the spot.
