Charming websites are free; standards are expensive. Six red flags:

  1. No named ladder — "many exciting workshops!" forever. Progression needs names (compare).
  2. No assessment — "you will love it" instead of a standard your work is measured against.
  3. Pristine studios — a bench with no wear is a bench with no classes.
  4. Guaranteed outcomes — designers are built in ladders, not weekends.
  5. Instructor bios about teaching only — no trade history anywhere.
  6. Pressure pricing — discounts expiring today on diplomas you have not sampled.

One clean counter-test: a low-commitment experience class — confident schools keep the front door cheap and honest.
